<i><span style="font-size: x-large;">I really do plan on doing it this season!</span></i>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692741385696625900.post-31696715018730843822017-02-17T06:50:00.000-08:002017-02-17T06:50:09.607-08:00Minimum Win Requirement ProposalOne thing I want to revisit this season is the MWR. We have let a few folks slide over the past couple seasons in consideration that they were new owners and needed to arrange things how they wanted in season one. Plus, HBD has gotten harder to fill. I have been thinking about this over the past few days. Here is my current idea: <br />
<br />
<i>All teams must win 54 games in any season or the owner is subject to being asked to leave. Any two years in a row with less than 60 wins is an automatic expulsion (no exceptions). However, every owner must win a minimum of 72 games in one of the next two seasons following any season where the 54 game minimum is missed. </i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>Or, a simple spend $60M on ML salaries or win 60 rule can apply to everyone. That way if you can win over 60 games without spending a lot of money then you can benefit. </i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>Or, just leave it like it is and make exceptions case by case</i><br />
<br />
Please TC me with your thoughts. Once we discuss, I will put out a poll/vote to any changes we make for this season and beyond.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3692741385696625900.post-32111900184939687152016-07-24T05:51:00.003-07:002016-07-24T05:51:38.026-07:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<b>George Michael Steinbrenner III</b> (July 4, 1930 – July 13, 2010) was an American <a class="mw-redirect" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Businessman" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;" title="Businessman">businessman</a> who was the principal owner and managing partner of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_League_Baseball" style="background: none; color: #0b0080;" title="Major League Baseball">Major League Baseball</a>'s <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Yankees" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;" title="New York Yankees">New York Yankees</a>. During Steinbrenner's 37-year ownership from 1973 to his death in July 2010, the longest in club history, the Yankees earned seven <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Series" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;" title="World Series">World Series</a> titles and 11 <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennant_(sports)" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;" title="Pennant (sports)">pennants</a>. His outspokenness and role in driving up player salaries made him one of the sport's most controversial figures. Steinbrenner was also involved in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Lakes" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;" title="Great Lakes">Great Lakes</a>and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_of_Mexico" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;" title="Gulf of Mexico">Gulf Coast</a> shipping industry.</div>

Known as a hands-on baseball executive, Steinbrenner earned the nickname "<b>The Boss</b>". He had a tendency to meddle in daily on-field decisions, and to hire and fire (and sometimes re-hire) managers. Former Yankees manager <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dallas_Green_(baseball)" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;" title="Dallas Green (baseball)">Dallas Green</a> gave him the derisive nickname "Manager George".<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Steinbrenner#cite_note-1" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;">[1]</a> He died after suffering a heart attack in his Tampa home on the morning of July 13, 2010, the day of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Major_League_Baseball_All-Star_Game" style="background: none; color: #0b0080; text-decoration: none;" title="2010 Major League Baseball All-Star Game">81st All-Star Game</a>.</div>
